- Reporting cycle
- Annual reporting (May 1–June 30) on a July 1–June 30 reporting year; hours tracked over rolling 3-year periods
- Hours / credits
- Practising registrants (P.Eng., P.Geo., P.L.Eng., P.L.Geo.) must each year: record at least 1 CE hour of ethical learning, complete the Regulatory Learning Module, create a CE Plan, and submit the CE Program Declaration — plus record at least 60 CE hours of learning activities over each rolling three-year period.

- At least 1 CE hour of ethical learning every year, plus the annual Regulatory Learning Module.

- Mandatory under the Professional Governance Act.
- Four areas of learning: ethical, regulatory, technical and non-technical.
- Designated Structural Engineers (Struct.Eng.) have additional requirements; exemptions exist for parental, medical or compassionate-care leave.
