What we collect

CPD Compass Canada works without an account. We collect personal information in exactly one place: if you sign up for deadline reminders, we store the email address, province, discipline, cost preference and deadline you provide — with your express consent, as required by Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). We use it only to send the reminders you asked for. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe, which deactivates your record.

What we store on your device

If you accept the "remember my discipline" prompt, your chosen discipline (and the last successfully loaded theme image) is stored in your browser's localStorage. It never leaves your device and you can clear it in your browser settings.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used — pages visited, approximate region, and how visitors arrive. This relies on cookies and similar identifiers; data is processed by Google on our behalf. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser.

Advertising & affiliate links

Some pages display ads served by Google AdSense, which may use cookies or device identifiers to show relevant ads; see Google's Ads privacy policies for details and controls. Some outbound course links are affiliate links, always marked as sponsored — we may earn a commission if you purchase, at no extra cost to you.

What we don't do

We don't sell personal information, run trackers of our own, or collect payment details on this site.

Feedback

The feedback form is a Google Form; submissions go to our Google Forms account and are used to improve the site.
